<p><strong>9:00 Improvised Film Scoring Explosion and Hootenanny</strong> hosted by Aaron Latos  with: Latos, Rizzo, Noah Barker, Luke McIntosh, Arrington, Alexander Clark Campbell and more scoring a mix of contemporary and classic silent films, including:</p>
<p><strong>&#8220;A Day&#8217;s Messing,&#8221; Jeff Seal </strong>- A black and white modern silent short in  the comedic style of Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, and Georges Méliès.<br />
<strong>&#8220;A Late Freeze,&#8221; Danica  Novgorodoff</strong> &#8211; A Ken Burns-influenced presentation of a graphic novel  that Danica developed with Less the Band in 2006.  &#8220;A Late Freeze&#8221; is a  tale of love (between a bear and a robot), snow, and trouble with the  authorities. <strong><br />
&#8220;A Trip to the Moon,&#8221; Georges Méliès </strong>- The classic  and widely influential 1902 science fiction film<br />
and a selection of <strong>Charlie  Chaplin</strong> shorts to round out the evening!</p>

<p><strong>2:00pm</strong> – “Crawling Between Heaven and Earth” (all ages matinee  – Ticketed/NOT FREE) featuring a cast of performersfrom New York City,  Kentucky and Chicago, with music by The Slow Chaleston with Bonnie  Prince Billy. The story of Hamlet told in a 1920&#8242;s American river town.</p>
<p><strong>3:30</strong> – Long Table Topic: Ernest Becker’s Denial Of Death –  FREE In collaboration with the photography of Jim Gavenus, which shares  the final moments of life of his subjects, Louisville educator and  Becker Foundation member Bill Bornschein joins Ben Kresse and  Motherlodge artists to discuss the life-affirmative perspectives of  Ernest Becker, whose writings discussed the effects of the &#8220;latent human  death anxiety&#8221; as a central motivator to all human activity.</p>
<p><strong>6:00</strong> – Live Screening &amp; Improv of UofL-UK Game &#8211; local  improvisor J.P. Lebangood collaborates with Motherlodge artists and  Centre College professor David Hall for a performance/happening that  will take place during the breaks of game play, with musicians scoring  the course of the game.</p>
<p><strong>9:00</strong> – Spirits Of The Red City and &#8220;Crawling Between Heaven  and Earth&#8221; featuring a cast of performers from New York City, Kentucky  and Chicago, with music by The Slow Chaleston with Bonnie Prince Billy.  The story of Hamlet told in a 1920&#8242;s American river town. Accompanying  this show will be a set by Spirits Of The Red City about whom The Onion  says:&#8221;Surprisingly spare for such a large group, Spirits create a  loose-knit, cello-drenched concoction of mournful folk-Americana. It&#8217;s  sad and thoughtful, and drifts along beautifully like the hazy dreams of  a bone-tired man who&#8217;s finally found a moment of rest.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>11:00pm</strong> – Lady Rizo and Shelby Park Soul Stew. Chef Tim  Tucker&#8217;s &#8220;Cooking Band&#8221; will alight the tastebuds in time for the  delicious Lady Rizo, recently deemed &#8220;Highbrow and Brilliant&#8221; in New  York Magazine&#8217;s approval matrix. Lady Rizo is the alter ego of singer  and performance artist Amelia Zirin-Brown who has sung with Moby (Pale  Horses) Yo Yo Ma (Songs Of Joy and Peace), and sung FOR Liza Minelli for  Liza&#8217;s birthday. Lady Rizo stops in for her 4th Motherlodge on her way  to a west coast tour in the spring and a month of headlining dates in  August at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.</p>
<p><strong>April Fools Day</strong> – <a href="https://www.etix.com/ticket/online/performanceSearch.jsp?performance_id=1612861" target="_blank">Motherlodge Closing Night at Headliners Music Hall</a></p>
<p>Hosted by Lady Rizo with Steely Danish,  Corporal (Ray Rizzo and Michael Shannon of Boardwalk Empire) and special  guests. Doors at 7, show at 8. $10, or $5 for Motherlodge and Humana  Fest participants.</p>
